When the day's coming through And you've got nothing to do Do you stop and remember times with her? When you hide out inside While the sun's shining bright Do you look out the window and ponder? When your heart opens wide To reveal feelings inside Do you regret showing that thunder? When you act civilized With your eyes on the price Is it you or someone else I wonder? When you realize the clue Before the punchline comes through Does the joke count as a blunder?
Whispers from the coastline That crept slowly to the shore One by one they followed Swallowing more and more A drowning man with stones In his pockets and his shoes Swam down to the bottom With nothing left to lose Moon reflecting water And stars which shine the light Of all the little secrets Hidden below sight
I'm doing fine Oh so fine So fine without you Whats on my mind All the time I'm fine without you Let's pretend We didn't spend six months with no clue I can hope or only cope for A message from you It came out of the blue So I can say I'm fine without you
Always just a copy of the previous fucking day
A monotone tape put on repeat and play
Watch yourself get another shot
Fail in a more spectacular way
When you talk
What do you even have to say?
Is there anything to be proud of
To showcase on display?
How do you even portray
The mind in decay?
Did you see the mountaintops climbing through the clouds?
Or did you scorch your wings, and ungracefully tumble down?
Was it very lonely to walk outside the lines?
Did you get rewarded, or trialled for your crimes?
Do you ever wonder if time will be kind?
Will you still feel haunted by the things you can't rewind?
Will you feel lucky when you've reached that rocking chair?
Will you feel happy looking at all that grey hair?
Will you still think it was worth it to care?
Will you welcome the end when it's finally there?
Long live the king on his throne
A nursery home, his crown of thorns
Three times hooray for the jesters and the fools
Who think that they know more than they do
Who stick to bad habbits like paper on glue
Raise your glass for the beggars and the vagabond
Whose minds wander in the valley beyond
When echoes are their only response
To spend away your money
To waste away your time
Did you find the milk and honey?
Did they tell you it was mine?
Each and every evening
You go to sleep alone
Did you find it to be easy?
Did you listen to the song?
And you try to find some meaning
Some words to call your own
Time is always bleeding and you are bound to get it wrong
With all that nonsense dreaming you're drifting far away from home
When the day's coming through And you've got nothing to do Do you stop and remember times with her? When you hide out inside While the sun's shining bright Do you look out the window and ponder? Who think that they know more than they do
Who stick to bad habbits like paper on glue
Raise your glass for the beggars and the vagabond
Whose minds wander in the valley beyond
When echoes are their only response
Black, feathered corpses fall from the sky.
Am I doomed as next to die?
The first domino ticked,
The others will soon tock
As all of these birds, they fall from the clock,
And I'm left alone; I tremble with shock.
Splash o' the water,
Creak o' the tree,
How I have wished these corpses were me.
They sleep and decay, deformed on the ground.
Not only the living has uttered a sound,
For as they retire, their snores are nay drowned.
"We are deformed," they moan and they groan.
"We're kicked all around and stoned to the bone."
The death in their eyes as they rot in the heat,
Captures my gaze and stiffens my feet.
"Just stand there and watch," on
Wrists scream, scratched with care
Throat pulses, pressed teeth against
Breasts empty, every burning inhale
Hips meet, my hands flutter
"[Please] Don't leave. Letters do nothing [good]."
I can see the sun but I feel no warmth
I can touch the sky if I stretch my arms
Pluck all the fluffy clouds, one by one
I can see the sun but I feel no heat
I can reach the moon if I spread my feet
Count all the stars that my eyes meet
I can see the sun but I feel no glow
Like walking on a colourless rainbow
Staring at a grey filled meadow
While hearing the breeze yet feeling no blow
